Terms of Service

Last updated: July 25, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and The Scraps (“we”, “us”) covering your use of The Scraps app and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them.

1. Who can use The Scraps

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. The Service is built for adults capturing memories of their own lives and families.

2. Your content is yours

You own every photo, video, audio recording, and caption you save to the Service (“your content”). You grant us only the narrow license needed to operate the Service: to store your content, back it up, and deliver it back to you on your devices. We do not use your content for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not train machine-learning models on it.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree to save only content you have the right to save, and not to use the Service to store or share anything unlawful. You are responsible for keeping access to your device and sign-in provider (Apple, Google, or Microsoft) secure — anyone who can sign in with your provider account can access your scrapbook.

4. Your account, and leaving

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: your account and all of your content are removed from our systems. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we are required to act on by law.

5. Paid features

The Service is currently free. We may introduce optional paid features (such as expanded storage or printed products) in the future; if we do, their pricing and terms will be presented clearly before you pay for anything.

6. Service changes and availability

We work hard to keep the Service reliable, but it is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service; if we ever discontinue it entirely, we will give you reasonable notice and a way to export your content first.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

9. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
