Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and RBW Labs, LLC, a Washington limited liability company that operates The Scraps (“The Scraps”, “we”, “us”), covering your use of The Scraps app and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to them.

1. Who can use The Scraps

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to create an account. The Service is built for adults capturing memories of their own lives and families.

2. Your content is yours

You own every photo, video, audio recording, and caption you save to the Service (“your content”). You grant us only the narrow license needed to operate the Service: to store your content, back it up, and deliver it back to you on your devices. We do not use your content for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not train machine-learning models on it.

3. Your responsibilities

You agree to save only content you have the right to save, and not to use the Service to store or share anything unlawful. You are responsible for keeping access to your device and sign-in provider (Apple, Google, or Microsoft) secure — anyone who can sign in with your provider account can access your scrapbook.

4. Your account, and leaving

You can permanently delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: your account and all of your content are removed from our systems. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that we are required to act on by law.

If your free trial ends and you have not subscribed, your account is locked rather than deleted: you can no longer capture, import, or browse, but everything you saved stays exactly where it was. Subscribing reopens it. You can delete a locked account at any time from the same place.

5. Paid features

Every new account gets the full Service free for 30 days. After that, continued use requires a subscription, currently $79 per year (the exact price in your currency is shown in the app before you buy). There is no limited free tier: during the trial and as a subscriber you can use everything The Scraps does, without storage caps.

Subscriptions are sold through Apple and billed to your Apple account. They renew automatically each year unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; you can cancel any time in Settings → Subscriptions on your device. Refunds are handled by Apple under its own terms. If you subscribe during your trial, billing begins at that point.

6. Service changes and availability

We work hard to keep the Service reliable, but it is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service; if we ever discontinue it entirely, we will give you reasonable notice first and, on request, send you your original files before anything is removed.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

9. Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated terms.
